What does battery mean?
battery – Intentional, unconsented, harmful or offensive (to reasonable people) bodily contact. Contact can be indirect, like a bullet or baseball bat. Unlike the general rule for most intentional torts, the shrinking majority says battery requires an intentional act and intentional harm.
