What does offensive mean?
offensive – In tort law, something is offensive if it would substantially irritate a reasonable person. Whether something is offensive, is relevant to several torts, like battery. Sometimes torts require actions which are “highly offensive,” like publication of private facts, intrusion upon seclusion, and false light.
